[lldb/cmake] Implicitly pass arguments to llvm_add_library (#142583) If we're not touching them, we don't need to do anything special to pass them along -- with one important caveat: due to how cmake arguments work, the implicitly passed arguments need to be specified before arguments that we handle. This isn't particularly nice, but the alternative is enumerating all arguments that can be used by llvm_add_library and the macros it calls (it also relies on implicit passing of some arguments to llvm_process_sources). | 1 年前
[lldb] Remove GDBRemoteCommunication::ConnectLocally (#145293) Originally added for reproducers, it is now only used for test code. While we could make it a test helper, I think that after #145015 it is simple enough to not be needed. Also squeeze in a change to make ConnectionFileDescriptor accept a unique_ptr<Socket>. | 1 年前
[lldb] Parse qSupported MultiMemRead tag in GDB Remote Client (#163249) This is in preparation for the new MultiMemRead packet discussed in the RFC [1]. An alternative to using qSupported would be having clients send an empty MultiMemRead packet. However, this is problematic because the already-existing packet M is a prefix of MultiMemRead; an empty reply would be ambiguous in this case. It is also risky that the stub might interpret the MultiMemRead as a valid M packet. Another advantage of qSupported is that this packet is already exchanged, so parsing a new field is simpler than having to exchange one extra packet. [lldb] [lldb-gdbserver] Unify listen/connect code to use ConnectionFileDescriptor Unify the listen and connect code inside lldb-server to use ConnectionFileDescriptor uniformly rather than a mix of it and Acceptor. This involves: - adding a function to map legacy values of host:port parameter (including legacy server URLs) into CFD-style URLs - adding a callback to return "local socket id" (i.e. UNIX socket path or TCP port number) between listen() and accept() calls in CFD - adding a "unix-abstract-accept" scheme to CFD As an additional advantage, this permits lldb-server to accept any URL known to CFD including the new serial:// scheme. Effectively, lldb-server can now listen on the serial port. Tests for connecting over a pty are added to test that. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D111964 | 4 年前
[lldb] Only send "posix" error codes through the gdb-remote protocol The other side has no way of telling which namespace do these codes belong to, so mashing them all together is not very helpful. I'm mainly doing this to simplify some code in a pending patch <https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/106774/files#r1752628604>, and I've picked the posix error category semi-randomly. If we wanted to be serious about assigning meaning to these error codes, we should create a special error category for "gdb errors". | 1 年前

[lldb][NFC] Fix all formatting errors in .cpp file headers Summary: A *.cpp file header in LLDB (and in LLDB) should like this: //===-- TestUtilities.cpp -------------------------------------------------===// However in LLDB most of our source files have arbitrary changes to this format and these changes are spreading through LLDB as folks usually just use the existing source files as templates for their new files (most notably the unnecessary editor language indicator -*- C++ -*- is spreading and in every review someone is pointing out that this is wrong, resulting in people pointing out that this is done in the same way in other files). This patch removes most of these inconsistencies including the editor language indicators, all the different missing/additional '-' characters, files that center the file name, missing trailing ===// (mostly caused by clang-format breaking the line). [gdb-remote] Move broadcasting logic down to GDBRemoteClientBase Move the broadcasting support from GDBRemoteCommunication to GDBRemoteClientBase since this is where it is actually used. Remove GDBRemoteCommunication and subclass constructor arguments left over after Communication cleanup.
