fix(codegen): Allow longPoll ops on all JSON-family protocols (#7460) The AWS-JSON-only guard in LongPollingOperationProcessor (added in #6905) blocked migrating SQS, SFN and SWF to Smithy RPC v2 CBOR, even though SMITHY_RPC_V2_CBOR clients are generated by JsonProtocolSpec, the spec that emits the long-polling flag. Relax the check to Metadata#isJsonProtocol(), which matches the set of protocols routed to JsonProtocolSpec (AWS JSON, REST JSON, CBOR, Smithy RPC v2 CBOR). Query, REST-XML and EC2 still fail codegen so the flag is never silently dropped. The error message now names the service and its resolved protocol. Tests: LongPollingOperationProcessTest now covers the throw for non-JSON protocols and the flag being set for each JSON-family protocol. Sync/AsyncClientClassTest verify an RPC v2 CBOR client emits .withLongPolling(true) for a flagged operation. Verification: mvn clean install -pl :codegen -> BUILD SUCCESS, 851 tests, 0 failures, 0 checkstyle violations. LongPollingOperationProcessTest: 8 run, 0 failures. | 19 days ago |
