Fix foreign key violation in retention schedule when a revision's parent is already deleted (#28223) * Null out revision.parent before deleting cascading rows in retention directus_revisions.parent self-references directus_revisions.id with no ON DELETE action, deliberately, since not every database supported here allows recursive cascade/set-null triggers on a self-referencing FK. So retention deleting a directus_activity row cascades to delete its revision, and if a newer, surviving revision still points at that revision as its parent, Postgres rejects the whole batch. Both retention paths that can remove directus_revisions rows -- the activity-cascade path and the direct revisions-retention task -- now null out parent on any surviving revision pointing at the about-to-be-removed set before running the delete, rather than fixing this at the schema level. Fixes #26747 * chore: add changeset for retention FK violation fix * Chunk retention IN clauses per database dialect limit Oracle caps an IN clause at 1000 values and MSSQL at 2000, so passing the full records/revisionIds array straight into whereIn() the way the FK-violation fix does can exceed either limit once batch sizes get large. Chunk per-dialect (10k default, same as the chunking CollectionsService.deleteOne() already does for the same kind of parent-nulling update), and note why parent needs nulling first. * Wrap retention cleanup in a transaction and drop redundant branches * Cap RETENTION_BATCH at the database IN list limit instead of chunking Add maxInListSize() to the capabilities helper with per-dialect limits, validate RETENTION_BATCH against it when the retention schedule starts (capping it and logging a warning when it is too large), and drop the extra chunking in the retention job since batching already bounds the IN lists. * Rename to maxInListSize and adjust mssql size * Refactor retention job and tests * adjust changeset * Support unbounded timeout in runExclusive * Run retention without timeout and log deleted revisions --------- Co-authored-by: daedalus <44623501+ComfortablyCoding@users.noreply.github.com> | 18 天前 | |
