Clarify that versioned constraints are fixed at release time (#28762) We received a number of requests to upgrade individual dependencies in the constraint files (mostly due to those dependencies releasing version with vulnerabilities fixed). This is not how our constraint works, their main purpose is to provide "consistent installation" mechanism for anyone who installs airflow from the scratch, we are not going to keep such relased versions up-to-date with versions of dependencies released after the release. This PR provides additional explanation about that in both constraint files as well as in reference container images which follow similar patterns. | 3 年前 | |
Change the name of link to ASF downloads (#19441) The ASF used to use mirrors to distribute their software, however recently they changed to use CDN. The mechanism might change in the future (even if currently CDN is used the ASF 'mirrors' page and closer.lua script provide a fully ASF-controlled mechanism to switch to the right mechanism, however technically speaking the current solution is not 'mirrors' but it is CDN, therefore it makes sense to rename it to generic downloads. | 4 年前 | |

Improve message and documentation around moved data (#19453) * Improve message and documentation around moved data In Airflow 2.2.2 we introduced a fix in #18953 where the corrupted data was moved to a separate table. However some of our users (rightly) might not have the context. We've never had anything like that before, so the users who treat Airflow DB as black-boxes might get confused on what the error means and what they should do in this case. You can see it in #19440 converted into discussion #19444 and #19421 indicate that the message is a bit unclear for users. This PR attempts to improve that it adds upgrading section to our documentation and have the message link to it so that rather than asking questions in the issues, users can find context and answers what they should do in our docs. It also guides the users who treat Airflow DB as "black-box" on how they can use their tools and airflow db shell to fix the problem. | 4 年前 | |
