docs: improve project documentation Documentation mixed user and developer guidance and still described outdated dependencies, commands, and runtime behavior. Organize documentation by audience, remove obsolete pages and assets, and align setup, template, network, and VMM guidance with the current implementation. docs: clarify file APIs and long-running commands | 1 个月前
conf: simplify runtime configuration Conch exposes only deployment-level paths and sandbox policy. The server owns the runtime and persistent roots, while sandbox owns the selected backend, VMM binaries, timeout policy, and default spec. The default layout is: /var/run/conch/ ├── conchd.sock ├── conchd.pid ├── containerd/ # containerd state: sockets and transient files └── sandboxes/ /var/lib/conch/ ├── containerd/ # containerd root: durable content and metadata └── state.db The two containerd directories map to its separate root and state locations. State can be discarded on reboot, while root retains images, snapshots, and container metadata. sandbox.default_spec supplies template_id, vcpu_num, vcpu_max, and ram_mb when a create request omits them. An empty requested and default template ID remains invalid. sandbox.backend supplies the default VMM. Fix the CNI configuration directory at /etc/conch/cni/net.d, reject removed YAML fields, and align the SDK, CLI help, and documentation. Tests: python3 -m py_compile sdk/sandbox.py Tests: GO111MODULE=on go test ./... Assisted-by: Codex:GPT-5 Signed-off-by: jingrui <jingrui@huawei.com> | 1 个月前
feat(template): use Boot Index digests as Template IDs Template removal left containerd image records behind. This kept Boot Index content rooted after its metadata was deleted. Separate generated IDs also made the metadata and image lifecycles difficult to align. Use each Boot Index digest as its Template ID and maintain one canonical local image record for create, pull, and checkpoint flows. Remove that record with Template metadata so containerd GC can reclaim unreferenced content. Update the API, CLI, SDK, persistence, tests, and documentation for the new identity model. This intentionally replaces the previous generated Template ID format. Assisted-by: Codex:GPT-5.6-sol Signed-off-by: Yifan Zhao <stopire@gmail.com> | 1 个月前
