Developed by Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto, ruby combines his favorite languages (Perl, Smalltalk, Eiffel, ADA and LISP) to create a new language with both functional and imperative programming features.

SIG Mission and Scope
Mission
- Enrich the ecology of ruby related software in openeuler.
- Develop conversion tools: convert from NPM to RPM format.
- Responsible for the planning, maintenance and upgrade of ruby sig software package.
- Feed back the work results of ruby related software in the openeuler community to the upstream community.
- Timely respond to user feedback and solve related problems.
Scope
- Maintain and upgrade the ruby packages
- Introduce, maintain and upgrade the dependency packages of ruby that not included in openEuler community
- Cooperate and maintain the dependency packages of ruby that already included in openEuler community
- Manage the documentations, meetings, mailist within Ruby SIG
