libperf: Add API for allocating new thread map array The existing API perf_thread_map__new_dummy() allocates new thread map for one thread. I couldn't find a way to reallocate the map with more threads, or to allocate a new map for more than one thread. Having multiple threads in a thread map is essential for some use cases. libperf: Add a test case for read formats It checks a various combination of the read format settings and verify it return the value in a proper position. The test uses task-clock software events to guarantee it's always active and sets enabled/running time. libperf: Change tests to single static and shared binaries Make tests to be two binaries 'tests_static' and 'tests_shared', so the maintenance is easier. Adding tests under libperf build system, so we define all the flags just once. Adding make-tests tule to just compile tests without running them. As the headers may be being installed while building libperf.a this can cause headers to be partially installed and found in the include path while building an object file for libperf.a. The installed header may reference other installed headers that are missing given the partial nature of the install and then the build fails with a missing header file. Avoid this by ensuring the libperf source headers are always first in the CFLAGS. perf tools: Remove special handling of system-wide evsel For system-wide evsels, the thread map should be dummy - i.e. it has a single entry of -1. But the code guarantees such a thread map, so no need to handle it specially. No functional change intended.
