Release Manager
The release manager SIG is responsible for coordinating teams for openEuler project. The main responsibilities of the Release Manager are to coordinate the Maintainers and QA of each SIG in the community to complete the release of the openEuler community version. The main responsibilities are as follows:
Maintainer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning and scheduling the release timeline for openEuler versions
- Tracking the development status (updates or features) during the development/testing cycle
- Release coordination (within QA, release engineers, Technical Committee, etc.), participating in relevant group and release-related meetings
- Responsible for coordinating the delivery process of openEuler projects
- Version review and release decision (GO/NO GO)
Committer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Synchronizing version planning/scheduling
- Nominating/recommending new features
- Tracking feature delivery progress
- Reviewing new features
- Reviewing version quality
- Writing or updating version-related documents
- Optimizing release SIG version management processes
- Organizing offline version-related activities
- Promoting community versions

Release maintainer election process and principles
Nominated by maintainers and extended members (individuals first apply to the above members), reviewed by release SIG:
- Committer members who have made continuous contributions to the community for more than 6 months, and have at least one feature that is a key feature of the version (listed in release notes);
- Committer members who continuously attend release SIG regular meetings with an attendance rate of over 70% in the past 6 months;
- Committer members representing partner teams can independently participate in community decision-making;
- Individuals and organizations with outstanding contributions to release management/community version operations may self-recommend (self-evidence of contributions)
Release committer change process and principles
- Voluntary withdrawal or withdrawal proposed by release, updated after release SIG review
- Voluntary withdrawal or absence from release SIG regular meetings for more than 6 consecutive times without reason
- Individual or affiliated team has no community contributions for 6 consecutive months
Release committer addition process and principles:
- Each partner team actively nominates, regularly participates in SIG group meetings, and participates in version planning, scheduling, review, decision-making and other processes.
- Individuals and organizations with outstanding contributions to release SIG/community version operations may self-recommend (self-evidence of contributions, unlimited forms of contribution)
Release maintainer change process and principles
- Voluntary withdrawal or withdrawal proposed by release, updated after release SIG review
- Voluntary withdrawal or absence from release SIG regular meetings for more than 6 consecutive times without reason
- Individual or affiliated team has no community contributions for 6 consecutive months
