SIG group work objectives and scope

work goals

Develop OpenHarmony API design specifications, ensuring that the designed APIs comply with the specifications and meet the needs of developers. Meanwhile, effectively manage the entire API design process and lifecycle, and provide efficient tool support for developers.

work scope

1, Publishing OpenHarmony API design specifications, including ArkTS API and C API, to empower the OpenHarmony community and developers, and design easy, efficient, and developer-friendly APIs.

2, Establishing a management process for OpenHarmony APIs, covering the full lifecycle, such as adding APIs, modifying APIs, deprecating APIs, etc.

3, Develop tools for OpenHarmony SDKs to check the correctness of API designs automatically, such as API naming checks, JSDOC checks, description checks, etc.

4, Develop tools related to APIs to enhance developers' development efficiency, such as SDK upgrade assistant tools, etc.
