selftests/bpf: make test_align selftest more robust stable inclusion from stable-5.10.191 commit 4af2d9ddb7e78f97c23f709827e5075c6d866e34 category: bugfix issue: #I9D31L CVE: NA Signed-off-by: wanxiaoqing <wanxiaoqing@huawei.com> --------------------------------------- [ Upstream commit 4f999b767769b76378c3616c624afd6f4bb0d99f ] test_align selftest relies on BPF verifier log emitting register states for specific instructions in expected format. Unfortunately, BPF verifier precision backtracking log interferes with such expectations. And instruction on which precision propagation happens sometimes don't output full expected register states. This does indeed look like something to be improved in BPF verifier, but is beyond the scope of this patch set. So to make test_align a bit more robust, inject few dummy R4 = R5 instructions which capture desired state of R5 and won't have precision tracking logs on them. This fixes tests until we can improve BPF verifier output in the presence of precision tracking. bpf, selftests: Fix racing issue in btf_skc_cls_ingress test stable inclusion from stable-5.10.88 commit fcf9194d366c5c2e903c4f0f594d6bffbd92da8e category: bugfix issue: I5K2MH CVE: NA Signed-off-by: Fang Minjuan <fangminjuan5@huawei.com> --------------------------------------- [ Upstream commit c2fcbf81c332b42382a0c439bfe2414a241e4f5b ] The libbpf CI reported occasional failure in btf_skc_cls_ingress: test_syncookie:FAIL:Unexpected syncookie states gen_cookie:80326634 recv_cookie:0 bpf prog error at line 97 "error at line 97" means the bpf prog cannot find the listening socket when the final ack is received. It then skipped processing the syncookie in the final ack which then led to "recv_cookie:0". The problem is the userspace program did not do accept() and went ahead to close(listen_fd) before the kernel (and the bpf prog) had a chance to process the final ack. The fix is to add accept() call so that the userspace will wait for the kernel to finish processing the final ack first before close()-ing everything. bpf: cgroup: Allow multi-attach program to replace itself When using BPF_PROG_ATTACH to attach a program to a cgroup in BPF_F_ALLOW_MULTI mode, it is not possible to replace a program with itself. This is because the check for duplicate programs doesn't take the replacement program into account. Replacing a program with itself might seem weird, but it has some uses: first, it allows resetting the associated cgroup storage. Second, it makes the API consistent with the non-ALLOW_MULTI usage, where it is possible to replace a program with itself. Third, it aligns BPF_PROG_ATTACH with bpf_link, where replacing itself is also supported. Sice this code has been refactored a few times this change will only apply to v5.7 and later. Adjustments could be made to commit 1020c1f24a94 ("bpf: Simplify __cgroup_bpf_attach") and commit d7bf2c10af05 ("bpf: allocate cgroup storage entries on attaching bpf programs") as well as commit 324bda9e6c5a ("bpf: multi program support for cgroup+bpf") Fixes: af6eea57437a ("bpf: Implement bpf_link-based cgroup BPF program attachment") Signed-off-by: Lorenz Bauer <lmb@cloudflare.com> Signed-off-by: Alexei Starovoitov <ast@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20200608162202.94002-1-lmb@cloudflare.com | 5 年前 | |

bpf: selftests: A few improvements to network_helpers.c This patch makes a few changes to the network_helpers.c 1) Enforce SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO This patch enforces timeout to the network fds through setsockopt SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO. It will remove the need for SOCK_NONBLOCK that requires a more demanding timeout logic with epoll/select, e.g. epoll_create, epoll_ctrl, and then epoll_wait for timeout. That removes the need for connect_wait() from the cgroup_skb_sk_lookup.c. The needed change is made in cgroup_skb_sk_lookup.c. 2) start_server(): Add optional addr_str and port to start_server(). That removes the need of the start_server_with_port(). The caller can pass addr_str==NULL and/or port==0. I have a future tcp-hdr-opt test that will pass a non-NULL addr_str and it is in general useful for other future tests. "int timeout_ms" is also added to control the timeout on the "accept(listen_fd)". 3) connect_to_fd(): Fully use the server_fd. The server sock address has already been obtained from getsockname(server_fd). The sockaddr includes the family, so the "int family" arg is redundant. Since the server address is obtained from server_fd, there is little reason not to get the server's socket type from the server_fd also. getsockopt(server_fd) can be used to do that, so "int type" arg is also removed. "int timeout_ms" is added. 4) connect_fd_to_fd(): "int timeout_ms" is added. Some code is also refactored to connect_fd_to_addr() which is shared with connect_to_fd(). 5) Preserve errno: Some callers need to check errno, e.g. cgroup_skb_sk_lookup.c. selftests/bpf: Validate libbpf's auto-sizing of LD/ST/STX instructions Add selftests validating libbpf's auto-resizing of load/store instructions when used with CO-RE relocations. An explicit and manual approach with using bpf_core_read() is also demonstrated and tested. Separate BPF program is supposed to fail due to using signed integers of sizes that differ from kernel's sizes. To reliably simulate 32-bit BTF (i.e., the one with sizeof(long) == sizeof(void *) == 4), selftest generates its own custom BTF and passes it as a replacement for real kernel BTF. bpf: selftests: A few improvements to network_helpers.c This patch makes a few changes to the network_helpers.c 1) Enforce SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO This patch enforces timeout to the network fds through setsockopt SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO. Make changes to do it more consistently in save_errno_close() and log_err(). bpf: Zero-fill re-used per-cpu map element Zero-fill element values for all other cpus than current, just as when not using prealloc. This is the only way the bpf program can ensure known initial values for all cpus ('onallcpus' cannot be set when coming from the bpf program). The scenario is: bpf program inserts some elements in a per-cpu map, then deletes some (or userspace does). When later adding new elements using bpf_map_update_elem(), the bpf program can only set the value of the new elements for the current cpu. When prealloc is enabled, previously deleted elements are re-used. Without the fix, values for other cpus remain whatever they were when the re-used entry was previously freed. A selftest is added to validate correct operation in above scenario as well as in case of LRU per-cpu map element re-use. To fix this issue, first create 4 pages of anonymous mapping, then do all the mmap() with MAP_FIXED. selftest/bpf: Test bpf_probe_read_user_str() strips trailing bytes after NUL Previously, bpf_probe_read_user_str() could potentially overcopy the trailing bytes after the NUL due to how do_strncpy_from_user() does the copy in long-sized strides. libbpf: Add generic bpf_program__attach() Generalize BPF program attaching and allow libbpf to auto-detect type (and extra parameters, where applicable) and attach supported BPF program types based on program sections. selftests/bpf: Fix flaky send_signal test [ Upstream commit b16ac5bf732a5e23d164cf908ec7742d6a6120d3 ] libbpf CI has reported send_signal test is flaky although I am not able to reproduce it in my local environment. But I am able to reproduce with on-demand libbpf CI ([1]). Through code analysis, the following is possible reason. The failed subtest runs bpf program in softirq environment. Since bpf_send_signal() only sends to a fork of "test_progs" process. If the underlying current task is not "test_progs", bpf_send_signal() will not be triggered and the subtest will fail. To reduce the chances where the underlying process is not the intended one, this patch boosted scheduling priority to -20 (highest allowed by setpriority() call). And I did 10 runs with on-demand libbpf CI with this patch and I didn't observe any failures. Fix by adding a new-style server_map definition and dropping addrlen (recvfrom() allows NULL values for src_addr and addrlen). Since the test should support tc built without libbpf, build the prog twice: with the old-style definition and with the new-style definition, then select the right one at runtime. selftests/bpf: Fix spurious failures in accept due to EAGAIN Andrii Nakryiko reports that sockmap_listen test suite is frequently failing due to accept() calls erroring out with EAGAIN: ./test_progs:connect_accept_thread:733: accept: Resource temporarily unavailable connect_accept_thread:FAIL:733 This is because we are using a non-blocking listening TCP socket to accept() connections without polling on the socket. Hence, stick to non-blocking mode for TCP listening sockets but with polling for incoming connection for a limited time before giving up. Apply this approach to all socket I/O calls in the test suite that we expect to block indefinitely, that is accept() for TCP and recv() for UDP. bpf, selftest: Fix flaky tcp_hdr_options test when adding addr to lo The tcp_hdr_options test adds a "::eB9F" addr to the lo dev. However, this non loopback address will have a race on ipv6 dad which may lead to EADDRNOTAVAIL error from time to time. Even nodad is used in the iproute2 command, there is still a race in when the route will be added. This will then lead to ENETUNREACH from time to time. bpf: selftests: A few improvements to network_helpers.c This patch makes a few changes to the network_helpers.c 1) Enforce SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO This patch enforces timeout to the network fds through setsockopt SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO. Make changes to do it more consistently in save_errno_close() and log_err(). selftests/bpf: Add profiler test The main purpose of the profiler test to check different llvm generation patterns to make sure the verifier can load these large programs. Note that profiler.inc.h test doesn't follow strict kernel coding style. The code was formatted in the kernel style, but variable declarations are kept as-is to preserve original llvm IR pattern. profiler1.c should pass with older and newer llvm profiler[23].c may fail on older llvm that don't have: https://reviews.llvm.org/D85570 because llvm may do speculative code motion optimization that will generate code like this: // r9 is a pointer to map_value // r7 is a scalar 17: bf 96 00 00 00 00 00 00 r6 = r9 18: 0f 76 00 00 00 00 00 00 r6 += r7 19: a5 07 01 00 01 01 00 00 if r7 < 257 goto +1 20: bf 96 00 00 00 00 00 00 r6 = r9 // r6 is used here The verifier will reject such code with the error: "math between map_value pointer and register with unbounded min value is not allowed" At insn 18 the r7 is indeed unbounded. The later insn 19 checks the bounds and the insn 20 undoes map_value addition. It is currently impossible for the verifier to understand such speculative pointer arithmetic.
