drivers/hwtracing/stm: Remove "select SRCU" Now that the SRCU Kconfig option is unconditionally selected, there is no longer any point in selecting it. Therefore, remove the "select SRCU" Kconfig statements. Signed-off-by: Paul E. stm class: Add MIPI SyS-T protocol support This adds support for MIPI SyS-T protocol as specified in an open standard [1]. In addition to marking message boundaries, it also supports tagging messages with the source UUID, to provide better distinction between trace sources, including payload length and timestamp in the message's metadata. This driver adds attributes to STP policy nodes to control/configure these metadata features. stm class: Fix a double free in stm_register_device() stable inclusion from stable-6.6.33 commit 370c480410f60b90ba3e96abe73ead21ec827b20 category: bugfix issue: #IB7W7N CVE: NA Signed-off-by: zhangshuqi <zhangshuqi3@huawei.com> --------------------------------------- [ Upstream commit 3df463865ba42b8f88a590326f4c9ea17a1ce459 ] The put_device(&stm->dev) call will trigger stm_device_release() which frees "stm" so the vfree(stm) on the next line is a double free. stm class: Make dummy's master/channel ranges configurable To allow for more flexible testing of the stm class, make it possible to specify the ranges of masters and channels that the dummy_stm devices cover. This is done via module parameters. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shishkin <alexander.shishkin@linux.intel.com> | 8 年前 | |

stm class: Fix module init return on allocation failure In stm_heartbeat_init(): return value gets reset after the first iteration by stm_source_register_device(), so allocation failures after that will, after a clean up, return success. stm class: Factor out default framing protocol The STP framing pattern that the stm class implicitly applies to the data payload is, in fact, a protocol. This patch moves the relevant code out of the stm core into its own driver module. stm class: Use correct UUID APIs It appears that the STM code didn't manage to accurately decypher the delicate inner workings of an alternative thought process behind the UUID API and directly called generate_random_uuid() that clearly needs to be a static function in lib/uuid.c. At the same time, said STM code is poking directly at the byte array inside the uuid_t when it uses the UUID for its internal purposes. Fix these two transgressions by using intended APIs instead. stm class: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare having a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure. Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2].
