eeprom: New ee1004 driver for DDR4 memory The EEPROMs which hold the SPD data on DDR4 memory modules are no longer standard AT24C02-compatible EEPROMs. They are 512-byte EEPROMs which use only 1 I2C address for data access. You need to switch between the lower page and the upper page of data by sending commands on the SMBus. eeprom: digsy_mtc: Make GPIO lookup table match the device stable inclusion from stable-6.6.83 commit 47aa0f5c6370f4fcd3923ab9d993ace8ca69c9aa category: bugfix issue: #IC1IVT CVE: NA Signed-off-by: zyf1116 <zhouyongfei3@huawei.com> --------------------------------------- commit 038ef0754aae76f79b147b8867f9250e6a976872 upstream. The dev_id value in the GPIO lookup table must match to the device instance name, which in this case is combined of name and platform device ID, i.e. "spi_gpio.1". But the table assumed that there was no platform device ID defined, which is wrong. Fix the dev_id value accordingly. misc: eeprom: eeprom_93cx6: Add quirk for extra read clock cycle stable inclusion from stable-6.6.66 commit 3fbde702748db366d9cbd25938cd7c6cdb15854a category: bugfix issue: #IBE7K0 CVE: NA Signed-off-by: zyf1116 <zhouyongfei3@huawei.com> --------------------------------------- [ Upstream commit 7738a7ab9d12c5371ed97114ee2132d4512e9fd5 ] Add a quirk similar to eeprom_93xx46 to add an extra clock cycle before reading data from the EEPROM. The 93Cx6 family of EEPROMs output a "dummy 0 bit" between the writing of the op-code/address from the host to the EEPROM and the reading of the actual data from the EEPROM. More info can be found on page 6 of the AT93C46 datasheet (linked below). Similar notes are found in other 93xx6 datasheets. In summary the read operation for a 93Cx6 EEPROM is: Write to EEPROM: 110[A5-A0] (9 bits) Read from EEPROM: 0[D15-D0] (17 bits) Where: 110 is the start bit and READ OpCode [A5-A0] is the address to read from 0 is a "dummy bit" preceding the actual data [D15-D0] is the actual data. Looking at the READ timing diagrams in the 93Cx6 datasheets the dummy bit should be clocked out on the last address bit clock cycle meaning it should be discarded naturally. However, depending on the hardware configuration sometimes this dummy bit is not discarded. This is the case with Exar PCI UARTs which require an extra clock cycle between sending the address and reading the data. spi: make remove callback a void function The value returned by an spi driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before.
