ocxl: fix pci device refcount leak when calling get_function_0() get_function_0() calls pci_get_domain_bus_and_slot(), as comment says, it returns a pci device with refcount increment, so after using it, pci_dev_put() needs be called. Get the device reference when get_function_0() is not called, so pci_dev_put() can be called in the error path and callers unconditionally. And add comment above get_dvsec_vendor0() to tell callers to call pci_dev_put(). driver core: class: remove module * from class_create() The module pointer in class_create() never actually did anything, and it shouldn't have been requred to be set as a parameter even if it did something. mmu_notifiers: rename invalidate_range notifier There are two main use cases for mmu notifiers. One is by KVM which uses mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start()/end() to manage a software TLB. The other is to manage hardware TLBs which need to use the invalidate_range() callback because HW can establish new TLB entries at any time. Hence using start/end() can lead to memory corruption as these callbacks happen too soon/late during page unmap. mmu notifier users should therefore either use the start()/end() callbacks or the invalidate_range() callbacks. To make this usage clearer rename the invalidate_range() callback to arch_invalidate_secondary_tlbs() and update documention. powerpc/64s/radix: introduce options to disable use of the tlbie instruction Introduce two options to control the use of the tlbie instruction. A boot time option which completely disables the kernel using the instruction, this is currently incompatible with HASH MMU, KVM, and coherent accelerators. And a debugfs option can be switched at runtime and avoids using tlbie for invalidating CPU TLBs for normal process and kernel address mappings. Coherent accelerators are still managed with tlbie, as will KVM partition scope translations. Cross-CPU TLB flushing is implemented with IPIs and tlbiel. This is a basic implementation which does not attempt to make any optimisation beyond the tlbie implementation. This is useful for performance testing among other things. For example in certain situations on large systems, using IPIs may be faster than tlbie as they can be directed rather than broadcast. Later we may also take advantage of the IPIs to do more interesting things such as trim the mm cpumask more aggressively. ocxl: Driver code for 'generic' opencapi devices Add an ocxl driver to handle generic opencapi devices. Of course, it's not meant to be the only opencapi driver, any device is free to implement its own. But if a host application only needs basic services like attaching to an opencapi adapter, have translation faults handled or allocate AFU interrupts, it should suffice. The AFU config space must follow the opencapi specification and use the expected vendor/device ID to be seen by the generic driver. The driver exposes the device AFUs as a char device in /dev/ocxl/ Note that the driver currently doesn't handle memory attached to the opencapi device.
