Revert "Revert "Use VersionTuple for parsing versions in Triple, fixing issues that caused the original change to be reverted. This makes it possible to distinguish between "16" and "16.0" after parsing, which previously was not possible."" This reverts commit 63a6348cad6caccf285c1661bc60d8ba5a40c972. Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636 | 7 年前
With MSVC, file needs to be compiled with /BIGOBJ MSVC, by default, limits the number of sections generated by a single translation unit to 2^16. In a debug build, each function or method can require 4 sections, so it's not uncommon to hit it. I saw the problem when building tests for LLDB (but, interestingly, not for LLDB itself). Revert "[clang] Implement ElaboratedType sugaring for types written bare" This reverts commit 7c51f02effdbd0d5e12bfd26f9c3b2ab5687c93f because it stills breaks the LLDB tests. This was re-landed without addressing the issue or even agreement on how to address the issue. More details and discussion in https://reviews.llvm.org/D112374. | 3 年前
[SystemZ][z/OS][Windows] Add new OF_TextWithCRLF flag and use this flag instead of OF_Text Problem: On SystemZ we need to open text files in text mode. On Windows, files opened in text mode adds a CRLF '\r\n' which may not be desirable. Solution: This patch adds two new flags - OF_CRLF which indicates that CRLF translation is used. - OF_TextWithCRLF = OF_Text | OF_CRLF indicates that the file is text and uses CRLF translation. Developers should now use either the OF_Text or OF_TextWithCRLF for text files and OF_None for binary files. If the developer doesn't want carriage returns on Windows, they should use OF_Text, if they do want carriage returns on Windows, they should use OF_TextWithCRLF. So this is the behaviour per platform with my patch: z/OS: OF_None: open in binary mode OF_Text : open in text mode OF_TextWithCRLF: open in text mode Windows: OF_None: open file with no carriage return OF_Text: open file with no carriage return OF_TextWithCRLF: open file with carriage return The Major change is in llvm/lib/Support/Windows/Path.inc to only set text mode if the OF_CRLF is set. if (Flags & OF_CRLF) CrtOpenFlags |= _O_TEXT; These following files are the ones that still use OF_Text which I left unchanged. I modified all these except raw_ostream.cpp in recent patches so I know these were previously in Binary mode on Windows. ./llvm/lib/Support/raw_ostream.cpp ./llvm/lib/TableGen/Main.cpp ./llvm/tools/dsymutil/DwarfLinkerForBinary.cpp ./llvm/unittests/Support/Path.cpp ./clang/lib/StaticAnalyzer/Core/HTMLDiagnostics.cpp ./clang/lib/Frontend/CompilerInstance.cpp ./clang/lib/Driver/Driver.cpp ./clang/lib/Driver/ToolChains/Clang.cpp Reviewed By: MaskRay Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D99426 | 5 年前

[clang] Introduce SourceLocation::[U]IntTy typedefs. This is part of a patch series working towards the ability to make SourceLocation into a 64-bit type to handle larger translation units. NFC: this patch introduces typedefs for the integer type used by SourceLocation and makes all the boring changes to use the typedefs everywhere, but for the moment, they are unconditionally defined to uint32_t. Avoid SourceManager.h include in RawCommentList.h, add missing incs SourceManager.h includes FileManager.h, which is expensive due to dependencies on LLVM FS headers. Remove dead BeforeThanCompare specialization. Sink ASTContext::addComment to cpp file. This reduces the time to compile a file that does nothing but include ASTContext.h from ~3.4s to ~2.8s for me. [AST] Update the comments of the various Expr::Ignore* + Related cleanups The description of what the various Expr::Ignore* do has drifted from the actual implementation. Inspection reveals that IgnoreParenImpCasts() is not equivalent to doing IgnoreParens() + IgnoreImpCasts() until reaching a fixed point, but IgnoreParenCasts() is equivalent to doing IgnoreParens() + IgnoreCasts() until reaching a fixed point. There is also a fair amount of duplication in the various Expr::Ignore* functions which increase the chance of further future inconsistencies. In preparation for the next patch which will factor out the implementation of the various Expr::Ignore*, do the following cleanups: Remove Stmt::IgnoreImplicit, in favor of Expr::IgnoreImplicit. IgnoreImplicit is the only function among all of the Expr::Ignore* which is available in Stmt. There are only a few users of Stmt::IgnoreImplicit. They can just use instead Expr::IgnoreImplicit like they have to do for the other Ignore*. Move Expr::IgnoreImpCasts() from Expr.h to Expr.cpp. This made no difference in the run-time with my usual benchmark (-fsyntax-only on all of Boost). While we are at it, make IgnoreParenNoopCasts take a const reference to the ASTContext for const correctness. Update the comments to match what the Expr::Ignore* are actually doing. I am not sure that listing exactly what each Expr::Ignore* do is optimal, but it certainly looks better than the current state which is in my opinion between misleading and just plain wrong. The whole patch is NFC (if you count removing Stmt::IgnoreImplicit as NFC). Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D57266 Reviewed By: aaron.ballman llvm-svn: 353006 | 7 年前
