llc: fix SAP refcount leak in llc_ui_autobind() commit 660667cd406648bbaffbd5c0d897c2263a852f11 upstream. llc_ui_autobind() opens a SAP after choosing a dynamic LSAP. llc_sap_open() returns a reference owned by the caller, and llc_sap_add_socket() takes a second reference for the socket's membership in the SAP hash tables. llc_ui_bind() drops the caller's reference after adding the socket, but llc_ui_autobind() keeps it. When the socket is closed, llc_sap_remove_socket() releases only the socket reference, leaving the SAP on llc_sap_list with sk_count == 0. This is user-visible because repeated autobind and close cycles can consume all dynamic SAP values and make later autobinds fail with -EUSERS. Drop the caller's reference after a successful autobind, matching llc_ui_bind()'s ownership model. llc: fix SAP refcount leak when creating incoming sockets commit 2c72eb6286347d05a885412fb076993bd5286b53 upstream. llc_sap_add_socket() takes a SAP reference for each socket added to a SAP, and llc_sap_remove_socket() releases it. llc_create_incoming_sock() takes an additional SAP reference after adding the child socket. This extra reference was balanced by an explicit llc_sap_put() in llc_ui_release() until commit 3100aa9d74db ("llc: fix SAP reference counting w.r.t. socket handling") removed that put. The corresponding hold in the accept path was left behind. When such a child socket is removed, only the reference taken by llc_sap_add_socket() is released. The extra reference keeps the SAP alive after its last socket is removed. Remove the obsolete hold. llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2. [ Upstream commit e3f9bed9bee261e3347131764e42aeedf1ffea61 ] syzbot reported an uninit-value bug below. [0] llc supports ETH_P_802_2 (0x0004) and used to support ETH_P_TR_802_2 (0x0011), and syzbot abused the latter to trigger the bug. write$tun(r0, &(0x7f0000000040)={@val={0x0, 0x11}, @val, @mpls={[], @llc={@snap={0xaa, 0x1, ')', "90e5dd"}}}}, 0x16) llc_conn_handler() initialises local variables {saddr, daddr}.mac based on skb in llc_pdu_decode_sa()/llc_pdu_decode_da() and passes them to __llc_lookup(). However, the initialisation is done only when skb->protocol is htons(ETH_P_802_2), otherwise, __llc_lookup_established() and __llc_lookup_listener() will read garbage. The missing initialisation existed prior to commit 211ed865108e ("net: delete all instances of special processing for token ring"). It removed the part to kick out the token ring stuff but forgot to close the door allowing ETH_P_TR_802_2 packets to sneak into llc_rcv(). llc: Check netns in llc_estab_match() and llc_listener_match(). We will remove this restriction in llc_rcv() in the following patch, which means that the protocol handler must be aware of netns. if (!net_eq(dev_net(dev), &init_net)) goto drop; llc_rcv() fetches llc_type_handlers[llc_pdu_type(skb) - 1] and calls it if not NULL. If the PDU type is LLC_DEST_CONN, llc_conn_handler() is called to pass skb to corresponding sockets. Then, we must look up a proper socket in the same netns with skb->dev. llc_conn_handler() calls __llc_lookup() to look up a established or litening socket by __llc_lookup_established() and llc_lookup_listener(). Both functions iterate on a list and call llc_estab_match() or llc_listener_match() to check if the socket is the correct destination. However, these functions do not check netns. Also, bind() and connect() call llc_establish_connection(), which finally calls __llc_lookup_established(), to check if there is a conflicting socket. Let's test netns in llc_estab_match() and llc_listener_match(). Signed-off-by: Kuniyuki Iwashima <kuniyu@amazon.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com> | 2 年前
net: llc: reset skb->transport_header [ Upstream commit a024e377efed31ecfb39210bed562932321345b3 ] 802.2+LLC+SNAP frames received by napi_complete_done with GRO and DSA have skb->transport_header set two bytes short, or pointing 2 bytes before network_header & skb->data. As snap_rcv expects transport_header to point to SNAP header (OID:PID) after LLC processing advances offset over LLC header (llc_rcv & llc_fixup_skb), code doesn't find a match and packet is dropped. Between napi_complete_done and snap_rcv, transport_header is not used until __netif_receive_skb_core, where originally it was being reset. Commit fda55eca5a33 ("net: introduce skb_transport_header_was_set()") only does so if not set, on the assumption the value was set correctly by GRO (and also on assumption that "network stacks usually reset the transport header anyway"). Afterwards it is moved forward by llc_fixup_skb. Locally generated traffic shows up at __netif_receive_skb_core with no transport_header set and is processed without issue. On a setup with GRO but no DSA, transport_header and network_header are both set to point to skb->data which is also correct. As issue is LLC specific, to avoid impacting non-LLC traffic, and to follow up on original assumption made on previous code change, llc_fixup_skb to reset the offset after skb pull. llc_fixup_skb assumes the LLC header is at skb->data, and by definition SNAP header immediately follows. llc: do not use skb_get() before dev_queue_xmit() [ Upstream commit 64e6a754d33d31aa844b3ee66fb93ac84ca1565e ] syzbot is able to crash hosts [1], using llc and devices not supporting IFF_TX_SKB_SHARING. Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip! | 20 年前

llc: Check netns in llc_dgram_match(). We will remove this restriction in llc_rcv() soon, which means that the protocol handler must be aware of netns. if (!net_eq(dev_net(dev), &init_net)) goto drop; llc_rcv() fetches llc_type_handlers[llc_pdu_type(skb) - 1] and calls it if not NULL. If the PDU type is LLC_DEST_SAP, llc_sap_handler() is called to pass skb to corresponding sockets. Then, we must look up a proper socket in the same netns with skb->dev. If the destination is a multicast address, llc_sap_handler() calls llc_sap_mcast(). It calculates a hash based on DSAP and skb->dev->ifindex, iterates on a socket list, and calls llc_mcast_match() to check if the socket is the correct destination. Then, llc_mcast_match() checks if skb->dev matches with llc_sk(sk)->dev. So, we need not check netns here. OTOH, if the destination is a unicast address, llc_sap_handler() calls llc_lookup_dgram() to look up a socket, but it does not check the netns. Therefore, we need to add netns check in llc_lookup_dgram(). Signed-off-by: Kuniyuki Iwashima <kuniyu@amazon.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com> | 2 年前
llc: verify mac len before reading mac header [ Upstream commit 7b3ba18703a63f6fd487183b9262b08e5632da1b ] LLC reads the mac header with eth_hdr without verifying that the skb has an Ethernet header. There are further uses in include/net/llc_pdu.h. All these are protected by a test skb->protocol == ETH_P_802_2. Which does not protect against this tun scenario. But the mac_len test added in this patch in llc_fixup_skb will indirectly protect those too. That is called from llc_rcv before any other LLC code. It is tempting to just add a blanket mac_len check in llc_rcv, but not sure whether that could break valid LLC paths that do not assume an Ethernet header. 802.2 LLC may be used on top of non-802.3 protocols in principle. The below referenced commit shows that used to, on top of Token Ring. At least one of the three eth_hdr uses goes back to before the start of git history. But the one that syzbot exercises is introduced in this commit. That commit is old enough (2008), that effectively all stable kernels should receive this.
