hw/block/fdc: Extract SysBus floppy controllers to fdc-sysbus.c Some machines use floppy controllers via the SysBus interface, and don't need to pull in all the SysBus code. Extract the SysBus specific code to a new unit: fdc-sysbus.c, and add a new Kconfig symbol: "FDC_SYSBUS". pflash: Fix blk_pread_nonzeroes() Commit a4b15a8b introduced a new function blk_pread_nonzeroes(). Instead of reading directly from the root node of the BlockBackend, it reads from its 'file' child node. This can happen to mostly work for raw images (as long as the 'raw' format driver is in use, but not actually doing anything), but it breaks everything else. Fix it to read from the root node instead. meson: Replace softmmu_ss -> system_ss We use the user_ss[] array to hold the user emulation sources, and the softmmu_ss[] array to hold the system emulation ones. Hold the latter in the 'system_ss[]' array for parity with user emulation. Revert "hw/block/pflash_cfi: Error out if dev length isn't power of 2" Commit 334c388f25 ("pflash_cfi: Error out if device length isn't a power of two") aimed to finish the effort started by commit 06f1521795 ("pflash: Require backend size to match device, improve errors"), but unfortunately we are not quite there since various machines are still ready to accept incomplete / oversized pflash backend images, and now fail, i.e. on Debian bullseye: $ qemu-system-x86_64 \ -drive \ if=pflash,format=raw,unit=0,readonly=on,file=/usr/share/OVMF/OVMF_CODE.fd qemu-system-x86_64: Device size must be a power of two. where OVMF_CODE.fd comes from the ovmf package, which doesn't pad the firmware images to the flash size: $ ls -lh /usr/share/OVMF/ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3.5M Aug 19 2021 OVMF_CODE_4M.fd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.9M Aug 19 2021 OVMF_CODE.fd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 128K Aug 19 2021 OVMF_VARS.fd Since we entered the freeze period to prepare the v7.2.0 release, the safest is to revert commit 334c388f25707a234c4a0dea05b9df08d. trace: switch position of headers to what Meson requires Meson doesn't enjoy the same flexibility we have with Make in choosing the include path. In particular the tracing headers are using $(build_root)/$(<D). In order to keep the include directives unchanged, the simplest solution is to generate headers with patterns like "trace/trace-audio.h" and place forwarding headers in the source tree such that for example "audio/trace.h" includes "trace/trace-audio.h". This patch is too ugly to be applied to the Makefiles now. It's only a way to separate the changes to the tracing header files from the Meson rewrite of the tracing logic. virtio-blk: add zoned storage emulation for zoned devices This patch extends virtio-blk emulation to handle zoned device commands by calling the new block layer APIs to perform zoned device I/O on behalf of the guest. It supports Report Zone, four zone oparations (open, close, finish, reset), and Append Zone. The VIRTIO_BLK_F_ZONED feature bit will only be set if the host does support zoned block devices. Regular block devices(conventional zones) will not be set. The guest os can use blktests, fio to test those commands on zoned devices. Furthermore, using zonefs to test zone append write is also supported. hw/xen: clean up xen_block_find_free_vdev() to avoid Coverity false positive Coverity couldn't see that nr_existing was always going to be zero when qemu_xen_xs_directory() returned NULL in the ENOENT case (CID 1523906). xen: Import other xen/io/*.h A Xen public header have been imported into QEMU (by f65eadb639 "xen: import ring.h from xen"), but there are other header that depends on ring.h which come from the system when building QEMU. This patch resolves the issue of having headers from the system importing a different copie of ring.h. This patch is prompt by the build issue described in the previous patch: 'Revert xen/io/ring.h of "Clean up a few header guard symbols"' ring.h and the new imported headers are moved to "include/hw/xen/interface" as those describe interfaces with a guest. The imported headers are cleaned up a bit while importing them: some part of the file that QEMU doesn't use are removed (description of how to make hypercall in grant_table.h have been removed). Other cleanup: - xen-mapcache.c and xen-legacy-backend.c don't need grant_table.h. - xenfb.c doesn't need event_channel.h.
