scsi-generic: avoid invalid access to struct when emulating block limits Emulation of the block limits VPD page called back into scsi-disk.c, which however expected the request to be for a SCSIDiskState and accessed a scsi-generic device outside the bounds of its struct (namely to retrieve s->max_unmap_size and s->max_io_size). To avoid this, move the emulation code to a separate function that takes a new SCSIBlockLimits struct and marshals it into the VPD response format. hw: Add support for LSI SAS1068 (mptsas) device This adds the SAS1068 device, a SAS disk controller used in VMware that is oldish but widely supported and has decent performance. Unlike megasas, it presents itself as a SAS controller and not as a RAID controller. The device corresponds to the mptsas kernel driver in Linux. A few small things in the device setup are based on Don Slutz's old patch, but the device emulation was written from scratch based on Don's SeaBIOS patch and on the FreeBSD and Linux drivers. It is 2400 lines shorter than Don's patch (and roughly the same size as MegaSAS---also because it doesn't support the similar SPI controller), implements SCSI task management functions (with asynchronous cancellation), supports big-endian hosts, has complete support for migration and follows the QEMU coding standards much more closely. To write the driver, I first split Don's patch in two parts, with the configuration bits in one file and the rest in a separate file. I first left mptconfig.c in place and rewrote the rest, then deleted mptconfig.c as well. The configuration pages are still based mostly on VirtualBox's, though not exactly the same. However, the implementation is completely different. The contents of the pages themselves should not be copyrightable. include/hw/pci: Split pci_device.h off pci.h PCIDeviceClass and PCIDevice are defined in pci.h. Many users of the header don't actually need them. Similar structs live in their own headers: PCIBusClass and PCIBus in pci_bus.h, PCIBridge in pci_bridge.h, PCIHostBridgeClass and PCIHostState in pci_host.h, PCIExpressHost in pcie_host.h, and PCIERootPortClass, PCIEPort, and PCIESlot in pcie_port.h. Move PCIDeviceClass and PCIDeviceClass to new pci_device.h, along with the code that needs them. Adjust include directives. This also enables the next commit. spapr-vscsi: add task management At the moment the guest kernel issues two types of task management requests to the hypervisor - task about and lun reset. This adds handling for these tasks. As spapr-vscsi starts calling scsi_req_cancel(), free_request callback was implemented. As virtio-vscsi, spapr-vscsi does not handle CLEAR_ACA either as CDB control byte does not seem to be used at all so NACA bit is not set to the guest so the guest has no good reason to call CLEAR_ACA task. virtio-scsi: implement BlockDevOps->drained_begin() The virtio-scsi Host Bus Adapter provides access to devices on a SCSI bus. Those SCSI devices typically have a BlockBackend. When the BlockBackend enters a drained section, the SCSI device must temporarily stop submitting new I/O requests. Implement this behavior by temporarily stopping virtio-scsi virtqueue processing when one of the SCSI devices enters a drained section. The new scsi_device_drained_begin() API allows scsi-disk to message the virtio-scsi HBA. scsi_device_drained_begin() uses a drain counter so that multiple SCSI devices can have overlapping drained sections. The HBA only sees one pair of .drained_begin/end() calls. After this commit, virtio-scsi no longer depends on hw/virtio's ioeventfd aio_set_event_notifier(is_external=true). This commit is a step towards removing the aio_disable_external() API. trace: switch position of headers to what Meson requires Meson doesn't enjoy the same flexibility we have with Make in choosing the include path. In particular the tracing headers are using $(build_root)/$(<D). In order to keep the include directives unchanged, the simplest solution is to generate headers with patterns like "trace/trace-audio.h" and place forwarding headers in the source tree such that for example "audio/trace.h" includes "trace/trace-audio.h". This patch is too ugly to be applied to the Makefiles now. It's only a way to separate the changes to the tracing header files from the Meson rewrite of the tracing logic. vhost-user-scsi: support reconnect to backend If the backend crashes and restarts, the device is broken. This patch adds reconnect for vhost-user-scsi. This patch also improves the error messages, and reports some silent errors. Tested with spdk backend.
