linux-user/riscv: change default cpu to 'max' Commit f57d5f8004 deprecated the 'any' CPU type but failed to change the default CPU for linux-user. The result is that all linux-users invocations that doesn't specify a different CPU started to show a deprecation warning: $ ./build/qemu-riscv64 ./foo-novect.out qemu-riscv64: warning: The 'any' CPU is deprecated and will be removed in the future. linux-user: Add guest memory layout to exception dump When the emulation stops with a hard exception it's very useful for debugging purposes to dump the current guest memory layout (for an example see /proc/self/maps) beside the CPU registers. The open_self_maps() function provides such a memory dump, but since it's located in the syscall.c file, various changes (add #includes, make this function externally visible, ...) are needed to be able to call it from the existing EXCP_DUMP() macro. This patch takes another approach by re-defining EXCP_DUMP() to call target_exception_dump(), which is in syscall.c, consolidates the log print functions and allows to add the call to dump the memory layout. Beside a reduced code footprint, this approach keeps the changes across the various callers minimal, and keeps EXCP_DUMP() highlighted as important macro/function. linux-user: Report AArch64 hwcap2 fields above bit 31 The AArch64 ELF hwcap2 field is 64 bits, but our get_elf_hwcap2() works with uint32_t, so it accidentally fails to report any hwcaps over bit 31. Use uint64_t here. The Arm hwcap2 is only 32 bits (because the ELF format makes these fields be the size of "long" in the ABI), but since it shares the prototype declaration for get_elf_hwcap2() it is easier to also expand it to 64 bits. The only hwcap fields we implement already that are affected by this are the HBC and MOPS ones, neither of which were implemented in a previous release, so this doesn't need backporting to older stable branches. linux-user: Add missing signals in strace output Some of the guest signal numbers are currently not converted to their representative names in the strace output, e.g. SIGVTALRM. This patch introduces a smart way to generate and keep in sync the host-to-guest and guest-to-host signal conversion tables for usage in the qemu signal and strace code. This ensures that any signals will now show up in both tables. There is no functional change in this patch - with the exception that yet missing signal names now show up in the strace code too. linux-user: Fix guest signal remapping after adjusting SIGABRT The arithmetic within the loop was not adjusted properly after SIGRTMIN was stolen for the guest SIGABRT. The effect was that the guest libc could not send itself __SIGRTMIN to wake sleeping threads. linux-user: Use ARRAY_SIZE with bitmask_transtbl Rather than using a zero tuple to end the table, use a macro to apply ARRAY_SIZE and pass that on to the convert functions. This fixes two bugs in which the conversion functions required that both the target and host masks be non-zero in order to continue, rather than require both target and host masks be zero in order to terminate. This affected mmap_flags_tbl when the host does not support all of the flags we wish to convert (e.g. MAP_UNINITIALIZED). Mapping these flags to zero is good enough, and matches how the kernel ignores bits that are unknown. trace: switch position of headers to what Meson requires Meson doesn't enjoy the same flexibility we have with Make in choosing the include path. In particular the tracing headers are using $(build_root)/$(<D). In order to keep the include directives unchanged, the simplest solution is to generate headers with patterns like "trace/trace-audio.h" and place forwarding headers in the source tree such that for example "audio/trace.h" includes "trace/trace-audio.h". This patch is too ugly to be applied to the Makefiles now. It's only a way to separate the changes to the tracing header files from the Meson rewrite of the tracing logic. Split out the parts that are only used in linux-user itself into a new user-internals.h. This leaves qemu.h with basically three things: * the definition of the TaskState struct * the user-access functions and macros * do_brk() all of which are needed by code outside linux-user that includes qemu.h. The addition of all the extra #include lines was done with sed -i '/include.*qemu\.h/a #include "user-internals.h"' $(git grep -l 'include.*qemu\.h' linux-user) (and then undoing the change to fpa11.h).
