system/cpus: rename qemu_mutex_lock_iothread() to bql_lock() The Big QEMU Lock (BQL) has many names and they are confusing. The actual QemuMutex variable is called qemu_global_mutex but it's commonly referred to as the BQL in discussions and some code comments. The locking APIs, however, are called qemu_mutex_lock_iothread() and qemu_mutex_unlock_iothread(). The "iothread" name is historic and comes from when the main thread was split into into KVM vcpu threads and the "iothread" (now called the main loop thread). I have contributed to the confusion myself by introducing a separate --object iothread, a separate concept unrelated to the BQL. The "iothread" name is no longer appropriate for the BQL. Rename the locking APIs to: - void bql_lock(void) - void bql_unlock(void) - bool bql_locked(void) There are more APIs with "iothread" in their names. Subsequent patches will rename them. There are also comments and documentation that will be updated in later patches. meson: Introduce target-specific Kconfig Add a target-specific Kconfig. We need the definitions in Kconfig so the minikconf tool can verify they exits. However CONFIG_FOO is only enabled for target foo via the meson.build rules. Two architecture have a particularity, ARM and MIPS. As their translators have been split you can potentially build a plain 32 bit build along with a 64-bit version including the 32-bit subset. target: Move ArchCPUClass definition to 'cpu.h' The OBJECT_DECLARE_CPU_TYPE() macro forward-declares each ArchCPUClass type. These forward declarations are sufficient for code in hw/ to use the QOM definitions. No need to expose these structure definitions. Keep each local to their target/ by moving them to the corresponding "cpu.h" header. gdbstub: move register helpers into standalone include These inline helpers are all used by target specific code so move them out of the general header so we don't needlessly pollute the rest of the API with target specific stuff. Note we have to include cpu.h in semihosting as it was relying on a side effect before. target/mips: Implement Loongson CSR instructions Loongson introduced CSR instructions since 3A4000, which looks similar to IOCSR and CPUCFG instructions we seen in LoongArch. Unfortunately we don't have much document about those instructions, bit fields of CPUCFG instructions and IOCSR registers can be found at 3A4000's user manual, while instruction encodings can be found at arch/mips/include/asm/mach-loongson64/loongson_regs.h from Linux Kernel. Our predefined CPUCFG bits are differ from actual 3A4000, since we can't emulate all CPUCFG features present in 3A4000 for now, we just enable bits for what we have in TCG. kvm: Introduce kvm_arch_get_default_type hook kvm_arch_get_default_type() returns the default KVM type. This hook is particularly useful to derive a KVM type that is valid for "none" machine model, which is used by libvirt to probe the availability of KVM. For MIPS, the existing mips_kvm_type() is reused. This function ensures the availability of VZ which is mandatory to use KVM on the current QEMU. target/mips: Move msa_reset() to new source file mips_cpu_reset() is used by all accelerators, and calls msa_reset(), which is defined in msa_helper.c. Beside msa_reset(), the rest of msa_helper.c is only useful to the TCG accelerator. To be able to restrict this helper file to TCG, we need to move msa_reset() out of it.
