netfilter: ip_tables: remove clusterip target Marked as 'to be removed soon' since kernel 4.1 (2015). Functionality was superseded by the 'cluster' match, added in kernel 2.6.30 (2009). clusterip_tg_check still has races that can give proc_dir_entry 'ipt_CLUSTERIP/10.1.1.2' already registered followed by a WARN splat. Remove it instead of trying to fix this up again. clusterip uapi header is left as-is for now. Signed-off-by: Florian Westphal <fw@strlen.de> | 3 年前

netfilter: x_tables: avoid leaking percpu counter pointers [ Upstream commit f7f2fbb0e893a0238dc464f8d8c0f5609bec584f ] The native and compat get-entries paths copy the fixed rule entry header from the kernelized rule blob to userspace before overwriting the entry's counter fields with a sanitized counter snapshot. On SMP kernels, entry->counters.pcnt contains the percpu allocation address used by x_tables rule counters. A caller can provide a userspace buffer that faults during the initial fixed-header copy after pcnt has been copied but before the later sanitized counter copy runs. The syscall then returns -EFAULT while leaving the raw percpu pointer in userspace. Copy only the fixed entry prefix before counters from the kernelized rule blob, then copy the sanitized counter snapshot into the counter field. Apply this ordering to the IPv4, IPv6, and ARP native and compat get-entries implementations so a fault cannot expose the internal percpu counter pointer. netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing [ Upstream commit 1e8e3f449b1e73b73a843257635b9c50f0cc0f0a ] Weiming Shi says: "arp_packet_match() unconditionally parses the ARP payload assuming two hardware addresses are present (source and target). However, IPv4-over-IEEE1394 ARP (RFC 2734) omits the target hardware address field, and arp_hdr_len() already accounts for this by returning a shorter length for ARPHRD_IEEE1394 devices. As a result, on IEEE1394 interfaces arp_packet_match() advances past a nonexistent target hardware address and reads the wrong bytes for both the target device address comparison and the target IP address. This causes arptables rules to match against garbage data, leading to incorrect filtering decisions: packets that should be accepted may be dropped and vice versa. The ARP stack in net/ipv4/arp.c (arp_create and arp_process) already handles this correctly by skipping the target hardware address for ARPHRD_IEEE1394. Apply the same pattern to arp_packet_match()." Mangle the original patch to always return 0 (no match) in case user matches on the target hardware address which is never present in IEEE1394. Note that this returns 0 (no match) for either normal and inverse match because matching in the target hardware address in ARPHRD_IEEE1394 has never been supported by arptables. This is intentional, matching on the target hardware address should never evaluate true for ARPHRD_IEEE1394. Moreover, adjust arpt_mangle to drop the packet too as AI suggests: In arpt_mangle, the logic assumes a standard ARP layout. Because IEEE1394 (FireWire) omits the target hardware address, the linear pointer arithmetic miscalculates the offset for the target IP address. This causes mangling operations to write to the wrong location, leading to packet corruption. To ensure safety, this patch drops packets (NF_DROP) when mangling is requested for these fields on IEEE1394 devices, as the current implementation cannot correctly map the FireWire ARP payload. This omits both mangling target hardware and IP address. Even if IP address mangling should be possible in IEEE1394, this would require to adjust arpt_mangle offset calculation, which has never been supported. netfilter: rpfilter/fib: Set ->flowic_uid correctly for user namespaces. Currently netfilter's rpfilter and fib modules implicitely initialise ->flowic_uid with 0. This is normally the root UID. However, this isn't the case in user namespaces, where user ID 0 is mapped to a different kernel UID. By initialising ->flowic_uid with sock_net_uid(), we get the root UID of the user namespace, thus keeping the same behaviour whether or not we're running in a user namepspace. Note, this is similar to commit 8bcfd0925ef1 ("ipv4: add missing initialization for flowi4_uid"), which fixed the rp_filter sysctl. netfilter: iptables: Fix null-ptr-deref in iptable_nat_table_init(). [ Upstream commit 5830aa863981d43560748aa93589c0695191d95d ] We had a report that iptables-restore sometimes triggered null-ptr-deref at boot time. [0] The problem is that iptable_nat_table_init() is exposed to user space before the kernel fully initialises netns. In the small race window, a user could call iptable_nat_table_init() that accesses net_generic(net, iptable_nat_net_id), which is available only after registering iptable_nat_net_ops. Let's call register_pernet_subsys() before xt_register_template(). netfilter: nf_conntrack: destroy stale expectfn expectations on unregister [ Upstream commit c3009418f9fa1dcb3eb86f4d8c92583537b5faa3 ] NAT helpers such as nf_nat_h323 store a raw pointer to module text in exp->expectfn (e.g. ip_nat_q931_expect). nf_ct_helper_expectfn_unregister() only unlinks the callback descriptor and never walks the expectation table, so an expectation pending at module removal survives with a dangling exp->expectfn into freed module text. When the expected connection arrives, init_conntrack() invokes exp->expectfn(), now a stale pointer into the unloaded module. Reproduced on a KASAN build by loading the H.323 helpers, creating a Q.931 expectation, unloading nf_nat_h323, then connecting to the expected port: Oops: int3: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI RIP: 0010:0xffffffffa06102d1 init_conntrack.isra.0 (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_core.c:1862) nf_conntrack_in (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_core.c:2049) ipv4_conntrack_local (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_proto.c:223) nf_hook_slow (net/netfilter/core.c:619) __ip_local_out (net/ipv4/ip_output.c:120) __tcp_transmit_skb (net/ipv4/tcp_output.c:1715) tcp_connect (net/ipv4/tcp_output.c:4374) tcp_v4_connect (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:345) __sys_connect (net/socket.c:2167) Modules linked in: nf_conntrack_h323 [last unloaded: nf_nat_h323] Reaching the dangling state requires CAP_SYS_MODULE in the initial user namespace to remove a NAT helper that still has live expectations, so this is a robustness fix; leaving an expectation pointing at freed text is wrong regardless. Add nf_ct_helper_expectfn_destroy(), which walks the expectation table and drops every expectation whose ->expectfn matches the descriptor being torn down. Call it from each NAT helper's exit path after the existing RCU grace period, so no expectation outlives the code it points at and no extra synchronize_rcu() is introduced. With the fix, the same reproducer runs to completion without the Oops. netfilter: nf_nat_snmp_basic: use asn1 decoder library The basic SNMP ALG parse snmp ASN.1 payload however, since 2012 linux kernel provide ASN.1 decoder library. If we use ASN.1 decoder in the /lib/asn1_decoder.c, we can remove about 1000 line of ASN.1 parsing routine. To use asn1_decoder.c, we should write mib file(nf_nat_snmp_basic.asn1) then /script/asn1_compiler.c makes *-asn1.c and *-asn1.h file at the compiletime.(nf_nat_snmp_basic-asn1.c, nf_nat_snmp_basic-asn1.h) The nf_nat_snmp_basic.asn1 is made by RFC1155, RFC1157, RFC1902, RFC1905, RFC2578, RFC3416. of course that mib file supports only the basic SNMP ALG. Previous SNMP ALG mangles only first octet of IPv4 address. but after this patch, the SNMP ALG mangles whole IPv4 Address. And SNMPv3 is not supported. I tested with snmp commands such ans snmpd, snmpwalk, snmptrap. Signed-off-by: Taehee Yoo <ap420073@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org> | 8 年前

tcp: Access &tcp_hashinfo via net. We will soon introduce an optional per-netns ehash. This means we cannot use tcp_hashinfo directly in most places. Instead, access it via net->ipv4.tcp_death_row.hashinfo. The access will be valid only while initialising tcp_hashinfo itself and creating/destroying each netns.
