kselftest/alsa: pcm - move more configuration to configuration files Obtain all test parameters from the configuration files. The defaults are defined in the pcm-test.conf file. The test count and parameters may be variable per specific hardware. Also, handle alt_formats field now (with the fixes in the format loop). It replaces the original "automatic" logic which is not so universal. The code may be further extended to skip various tests based on the configuration hints, if the exact PCM hardware parameters are not available for the given hardware. selftests/alsa: Fix circular dependency involving global-timer [ Upstream commit 55853cb829dc707427c3519f6b8686682a204368 ] The pattern rule $(OUTPUT)/%: %.c inadvertently included a circular dependency on the global-timer target due to its inclusion in $(TEST_GEN_PROGS_EXTENDED). This resulted in a circular dependency warning during the build process. To resolve this, the dependency on $(TEST_GEN_PROGS_EXTENDED) has been replaced with an explicit dependency on $(OUTPUT)/libatest.so. This change ensures that libatest.so is built before any other targets that require it, without creating a circular dependency. This fix addresses the following warning: make[4]: Entering directory 'tools/testing/selftests/alsa' make[4]: Circular default_modconfig/kselftest/alsa/global-timer <- default_modconfig/kselftest/alsa/global-timer dependency dropped. make[4]: Nothing to be done for 'all'. make[4]: Leaving directory 'tools/testing/selftests/alsa' Cc: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Cc: Jaroslav Kysela <perex@perex.cz> Cc: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.com> Cc: Shuah Khan <shuah@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Li Zhijian <lizhijian@fujitsu.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20241218025931.914164-1-lizhijian@fujitsu.com Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org> (cherry picked from commit 6c37547a6eeb34564dfbd14e975615c9cae636c4) | 1 年前 | |

kselftest/alsa - conf: Stringify the printed errno in sysfs_get() [ Upstream commit fd38dd6abda589a8771e7872e4dea28c99c6a6ef ] GCC 13.2.0 reported the warning of the print format specifier: conf.c: In function ‘sysfs_get’: conf.c:181:72: warning: format ‘%s’ expects argument of type ‘char *’, \ but argument 3 has type ‘int’ [-Wformat=] 181 | ksft_exit_fail_msg("sysfs: unable to read value '%s': %s\n", | ~^ | | | char * | %d The fix passes strerror(errno) as it was intended, like in the sibling error exit message. selftests/alsa: Fix memory leak in find_controls error path [ Upstream commit cb89f0c1aed02eb233c4271f76f830b37e222ff6 ] In find_controls(), card_data is allocated with malloc() but when snd_ctl_open_lconf() fails, the code jumps to next_card without freeing the allocated memory. This results in a memory leak for each card where snd_ctl_open_lconf() fails. Add free(card_data) before goto next_card to ensure proper cleanup of the allocated memory in the error path. kselftest/alsa: pcm - Add more coverage by default Add more coverage to our standard test cases: - 8kHz mono and stereo to verify that the most common mono format is clocked correctly. - 44.1kHz stereo to verify that this different clock base is generated accurately. - 48kHz 6 channel to verify that 6 channel is clocked correctly. - 96kHz stereo since that is a common audiophile rate.
